To carry out its mission, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice relies
on the support of concerned individuals, corporations, businesses, churches, and
volunteer auxiliaries. Donations to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice are tax deductible and
help support care for patients and families. Gifts also enable Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice
to improve patient access to hospice care. For example, the Stay
Alone program benefits those patients who do not have resources for a
24-hour primary caregiver in the home. Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice seeks grants for
program development and receives support from United Ways throughout its service
area. One major fund raising campaign, the Tree of Life, is conducted annually
during the holidays.
Continued efforts are highly dependent upon support
from the community and the United Way. Gifts to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice enable us
to bring a volunteer into a home, provide a chaplain to comfort patients, offer
counseling to the bereaved, serve indigent patients, or provide other services

Do you have a collection you can no longer keep? Do you want to simplify by
removing clutter and collectible things from your home? Are you interested in

Program may be just for you! Here’s how it works …

to discuss your collection or valuable items.
- We will pick up your items or receive them at 313 S Market in Wichita, KS,
and we’ll send you a letter thanking you for your contribution.
- You talk to your tax advisor about the appropriate deduction for your gift
to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice (the lower of cost or appraised value).
- We will list the item for sale on e-Bay (an Internet auction house) and
receive whatever the item sells for. The organization receives the proceeds
from the sale, and you gain space in that closet, basement or garage, and
possibly benefit from a tax deduction as well!
A few examples of items you may want to contribute include: art, dolls,
coins, books, stamps, postcards, antique toys, collector plates, antique
furniture, sports memorabilia, miscellaneous antiques, historical memorabilia,
etc.

of caring for terminally ill patients and their families.
