Emotional and Spiritual Support

Hospice care involves surrounding patients and their families with various services and resources that ensure quality end-of-life care.

Harry Hynes Hospice teams are specially trained to provide emotional, spiritual/pastoral care, care that honors traditions and teachings of various faiths, and care that understands and honors the unique experiences of military veterans as they approach the end of life. Harry Hynes Hospice is here to help you every step of the way – even after the departing of your loved one. The feeling of grief after a great loss is an important part of the healing process.

Medical Social Worker

Hospice Social Workers offer grief, loss and adjustment support.

Our Social Workers can help patients and their families navigate end of life practical support including advanced directives, coordination with insurance companies and the Veterans Administration, care-giving plan options, financial resources, funeral planning, and other services.

Spiritual Care

Chaplains honor the cultural values and spiritual traditions that our patients and their families hold dear.

Our chaplains can help coordinate with your local pastoral care or clergy. Chaplains also offer grief, loss and spiritual support.

Volunteer Services

Our Volunteers provide a variety of emotional support services including in person, phone, and Pet Therapy visits.

Veteran Care

Harry Hynes Hospice honors those who have served our country by serving them at end of life.

Harry Hynes Hospice is a partner with We Honor Veterans, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). We proudly recognize the unique needs of our Veterans and their Families during end of life care and provide veteran–specific services.

We show appreciation through memorial services, pinning ceremonies, bedside salutes, and more.
