Your gifts to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice enable you to help us do many things:
• bring a volunteer into a home
• provide a chaplain to comfort patients
• offer counseling to the bereaved
• ease the pain of someone in distress
• provide other services important to patients and family members
Charitable support is an important part of our ability to deliver services to the community.
We receive no support, other than gifts, for the Volunteer Program, Bereavement Services or Palliative Care Consult Services. Although we receive reimbursements through Medicare, Medicaid and insurance companies, these are often not enough to cover the cost of all services. And, there is no reimbursement when a patient is uninsured and not covered by either Medicare or Medicaid.
As a nonprofit organization, donations to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice are tax deductible as provided under the law. You can make a secure donation to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice through this web site using a credit or debit card by clicking here. Thank you for your support.
Memorial gifts honor the memory of someone who touched your life in a special way. Often, families ask for memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in funeral notices as a way of honoring loved ones. Many people make annual memorial contributions to remember the birthday or anniversary of a loved one. Gifts are acknowledged with a letter of thanks sent to each individual donor and a listing of all gifts made to the memorial sent to the family member designated. Gift amounts are not disclosed.
When placing memorial information in an obituary, we suggest the following sample sentence: “The family requests that memorial gifts be forwarded to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market St., Wichita, KS 67202.”
Honorariums provide a way to express appreciation or love and respect for a living family member, friend, coworker or other special person. Such a contribution is a thoughtful way to remember someone’s birthday or anniversary. The person honored by your contribution will receive a letter announcing your gift. (When making your gift, please indicate the name of the person you wish to honor and provide that person’s mailing address.)
An Alternative Gift for the “person that has everything” at that special holiday or event, is to make Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice the recipient of an honorarium for that person. As above, the person honored by your contribution will receive a letter announcing your gift. (When making your gift, please indicate the name of the person you wish to honor and provide that person’s mailing address.)
We are honored to send a notification of your generous remembrance to the individual or individuals memorialized or honored. Your gift amount is not disclosed. You may also make a secure online gift to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in honor or memory of someone.
